Due to my new career as a film director, and having just started production on a period film, I will not be able to do any betta consultations for the next few weeks. When I am able to resume, I will post it here. You can still find many answers in my betta knowledge database and on the disease pages. Remember! Preventing is always better than trying to heal an already sick betta. Always have a First Aid betta kit on hand and keep your water CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.

When people have serious betta trouble, it is oftentimes very hard to find sound expertise and real help. Fishstores are notorious for giving all the wrong advice when it comes to bettas and since there are no "fish vets" out there,  people have no one to turn to. Fish die that could have been saved, because people didn't know how to save them. That is why I decided to provide this service. Please note that I am doing this as a favor to the betta community, to help fish in trouble and betta hobbyists in need. Be aware that once you initiate a consultation and send your payment, it will take from 2 to 7 days for my help to arrive via a phone call. Do not initiate a consultation unless you can live by these time frames. OK, still with me? Then proceed...

So now you can get custom help for your custom betta problems. If you are struggling with a specific betta problem and need  help from a betta expert, you come knocking at the right door. You ask your question, I personally answer it. And I mean PERSONALLY - as in: I call you up and talk to you and you get to pick my brains :)! You tell me what your problem is, I will help you solve it. Whether betta health problems, spawning problems, fry problems, disease outbreak problems or genetic related questions, you'll get some heavy artillery back up :). Allow me to roll up my sleeve and help you fight this battle :). 

Let's tackle your betta problem and cut a way out of the betta jungle for you to make it to safety :)) !  I can also save you months of unnecessary hard work by giving you the genetics pointers you need to reach your breeding goals (you'll be glad you asked!).

For a low fee you get to have me call you and talk to you and explain to you what to do. You also get to pick my brains :). Let me put my years of experience at your service and help you out. What's best is I am keeping it very affordable so EVERYONE can get help. No betta needs to die needlessly ever again.

 


HOW IT WORKS

You add a consultation to your shopping cart.

You check out and send the funds. Please copy your paypal payment verification number (transaction number).

You return here and click here to email me . In the header, paste your paypal payment verification number. In the email body, enter your specific betta problem / betta question AND your phone numbers. I usually call on a week day either around 3PM PST or 7PM PST. So keep that in mind when providing me with your phone numbers and be available to take my call. Please note that due to my very busy schedule, I am unable to custom fit my phone call timing to your own schedule. I also usually do not call on week-ends (as I am oftentimes backpacking/camping and have no cell phone reception).

I receive your payment and receive your question and numbers, I call you and give you my (ever so solicited this time LOL) advice.

You get a couple additional follow up emails, then the consultation is over.

 This is a very simple, efficient and inexpensive system. How inexpensive you ask? Well, see the fee schedule below:  

If your question is related to one single betta = $25

If your question is related to two or more bettas = $30


BEFORE YOU PROCEED: READ THIS!

Only one case per consultation please.  If you tackle two or more involving issues, I will only answer one. So please comply. On occasion, if you have 2 fish with smaller (less involving) problems I will deal with them as one item and help both for the same $25 fee. Or if you have two quick questions on unrelated topics etc...

Ask several questions per case. You can ask several questions relating to one case/problem.

Give me the details I need to help you.  Give me the data I need to help you. Anything you think is really relevant to your specific problem and may affect the outcome of my advice. For ex, how old the betta is, what kind of tank/bowl it is in, food you have been feeding, water parameters (what water do you use and how do you treat it), jar cleaning cycle (how often do you clean your betta's jar/tank), how long the problem has been going on, how it started and progressed. etc...

Be specific and to the point.  Don't send a novel! I don't need to hear about your life story! So focus on your problem. Don't give me details I don't need, such as the name of your fish, the color of your curtains, etc... Just give me pertinent, helpful info I need!

Photos help me A LOT: Photos of the affected fish are always a huge plus, so please try to snap close up, clear shots of your sick fish/wounds/problem area. Attach the photos to your consultation email.

Allow 3 to 7 days for my call. I try to do the best I can to call as soon as I can. But it might take up to 7 days to hear back from me. If you are in a huge rush or are the pushy type, you may want to seek help somewhere else ;). Please don't wait until your betta is on its death bed to email me and then get all panicky cause I didn't reply fast enough and your fish died. Understand that if you fish dies within a week, it  means it was beyond help in most cases. All diseases that kill in 7 days are usually not curable. However my consultation (even if it arrives after your betta has died) will help you understand what went wrong and will insure you do not duplicate the same mistakes/loss of your fish. We will go over your  set-up, and determine what caused your betta's demise and what needs to be changed (if anything). So either way you will greatly benefit from talking to me.  Having said all of that, usually my replies arrive fairly fast. :)

if I am missing a very important piece of the puzzle I will let you know and ask for more info when we talk. Most consultation end up being one initial  phone call, plus an email from me containing instructions or links.

Phone consultations are 15 min long. So please be considerate. When I call you be specific and to the point, answer my questions by a simple "yes" or "no" whenever possible. if we go over the 15 min you will be charged extra, so keep it short!

No refunds. Once you have initiated a consultation, you cannot cancel it. Even if you betta dies or you think you don't need the help anymore. The truth is, you still do need the help so to prevent the same thing to happen to your next betta. So all consultations will be processed, even if the betta has died, and the problem will be evaluated and advice will be given so that you learn and are better prepared next time.


Note to current customers: Customers who have purchased stock from me get six months of free email support (starting on  the date bettas were delivered) pertaining to the health issues, feeding issues and housing issues of the bettas acquired from me. Spawning and fry related question/problems are not covered under the customer free email support. Hence if you are a customer and your questions are about spawning or about your fry or if  you have had your bettas for more than 6 months, you will need to initiate a consultation through this page.
